November | Power & dancing with winter storms
Welcome to November’s wonder quest and private podcast. We are slipping into the darker half of the year where the wintery land feels harsher and harder and the sky brings wind and rain and storms. It is at this time of year that the Old Woman Cailleach, an old and powerful goddess who shapes the landscape with the rocks she carries can be felt most strongly.
The power of winter storms remind us not to mess with the Earth and bring us closer to our own old and powerful inner old woman archetypes – those who are strong, and hard as the oldest rocks of the Earth, powerful and fully alive.
Hence, this month’s theme: Power and winter storms.
In the private podcast this month recorded in my garden, alongside wind, birdsong, traffic, aeroplanes and church bells, I share:
The definition of a storm and how they are formed
How storms defy national boundaries and remind us of our interconnectedness
What power is and the difference between anthropocentric vs nature’s power
How winter and the archetype of the Crone are linked
The myth of the Cailleach
The Story of the Witch of Beinn a Glo
How to take part in The Wild Enchantment Club
Please listen to the private podcast episode then throughout the month turn your loving attention to the wonder quest in a way that fits with your life – be that in your garden first thing in the morning, on your commute, in the park after school drop off or during lunch.
