I like the idea of freedom for the next Wild Enchantment month-the two words are linked, but release seems more of an autumnal theme (like shedding leaves, letting go), whereas freedom seems more air themed, spring being the season of air, and the wind seems to be very much back here in the UK with the recent storms. I have noticed catkins and snowdrops and it really does feel like change in the air!
Yes, I know what you mean about freedom… I'll be doing a bit of research on words today to make a decision. And yes, I can see little signs of spring appearing too…
I loved hearing about your evolution of art – also enjoying your podcasts! I have dabbled in using nature in my amateur art as well. It was fun listening to yo talk about yours. Heading for your waitlist.
So delayed - still getting used to all things Substack. Using twigs, leaves, pinecones for mark-making in my journals. Interested in trying the silt and goo from our seasonal pond out back!
Yes!!! I love that. Do share photos if you feel comfortable doing so, especially the silt and goo... (and I'm with you on Substack. Still finding my way around here!)
Thanks for sharing. The fluid and loosening up aspect of this kind of art really resonated. I recently watched an artist who makes her own paint out of natural materials like soil. And I was fascinated. There's a calling to go out and play.

Thanks so much Barb. How have you been using nature in your art? It's always fun to learn from others. And I'm excited to have you on the waitlist!

I will - just getting some much needed rain today. Been so dry lately…
