Lovely words as always. Yesterday I stood in the garden centre and watched bumblebees loading their sacs with pollen from poppies and was in complete awe. Time stood still. I bought the poppies and brought them home in the hope that I can continue to watch and help feed them and they can continue to fill me with joy.

Oh I love watching the bumblebees in the poppies. I recommend trying to draw their paths as they bumble from one to the next...

This brought me to tears. Thank you for sharing so genuinely. I also appreciated the fiercely gentle calling out of “what can you do to give back to all this beauty that you’re so thankful for?” It makes me realize I don’t even know how to attend in that way, I just take and say thank you and feel good. But I don’t know how to take action to give back. 🙏

Thank you Ian. Saying thank you is a way to give back. Gratitude for all we have and sharing it with others, as you do. Action doesn't need to be huge and grand. Little things like planting wildflowers and switching off outdoor lights at night (if safe to do so) all count. You are already doing more than you know, I am sure.

Beautiful. These past couple of months I found myself drawn to really notice and study the little daisies in our yard. Ordinary, introduced but exquisite and interesting in ways I hadn't noticed before (will be doing a post on it in the future). And yes, I did have a voice in my head at times saying it was silly, why was I doing this, and would anyone resonate when I do write about it. But it has had its own worthwhile gifts.

Thank you Lindsay. There was a time in human history where we HAD to know all the plants intimately - which were safe to eat, which healed, which signalled water was nearby etc. It makes sense that that is where our nervous systems feel most aligned. I always find another layer of depth is added to my experience of life when I notice with intention. And that layer fills me up - rewilds my inner landscapes - so that I can call on it when things seem tough. Our inner compass...Thank you for sharing.
